Carl Garraffo is an accomplished senior executive, leader, and advisor with more than 38 years of success in the real estate, law, accounting, and hospitality industries. Carl is the President of H3 HR Consulting, LLC. Leveraging extensive experience as an HR leader, Carl is a valuable asset for companies of various sizes and stages of growth that are seeking expert assistance navigating issues such as harassment, equal pay, and company culture. Carl’s broad areas of expertise include organizational leadership, executive coaching, leadership development, talent management, corporate governance, succession planning, and compliance. Carl was the Chief Human Resources Officer with Lennar Corporation for over 20 years. Lennar is a Fortune 200, S&P 500 real estate company with 12,000 Associates and is the largest and most profitable homebuilder in America. Carl led all HR activities through the peak economic cycles and during the “great recession” between 2007 and 2010, when he successfully led the company through a significant downturn, overseeing a staff reduction of 10,000. He led a team of 50+ HR professionals strategically aligned with business leaders across the country and oversaw a $90M G&A budget in HR and Benefits. Carl also led a small team of Benefits professionals who manage a $75M self-insured health and wellness program for 12,000 Associates. Additionally, Carl was responsible for driving strategic and tactical decisions regarding talent acquisition, talent development, field and corporate office collaboration, internal management consulting and coaching, Associate relations, performance management, rewards and recognition programs, succession planning, and college recruiting. Previously, Carl was the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Prime Hospitality, Firm-wide Director of Human Resources at LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae, LLP, and for over 12 years, held various HR leadership roles at Arthur Andersen & Co. Carl formerly served on Client Advisory Boards for Prudential Retirement, the National Association for Colleges and Employers, and the New York City Board of Education Cooperative Education Program. Carl is a Governing Body Chair for Evanta's Florida CHRO Leadership Summit and is a frequent guest speaker at various round table events. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the New York Institute of Technology and is an ICF Trained Executive Coach.
